Directed by Dhaval Mehta, "The Reality of You & Me," focuses on two people who really want something badly from each other. The entire film was shot in one day with two improv actors; Brian Greer and Qurrat Anne Kadwani around the Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.
The film tries to depict a scripted reality with improvisation to keep it "real." The director would consult each of the characters before beginning each scene and discuss their individual goals. Once this was completed, they would be free to explore their character as they saw fit.
The actors were given 4 minutes, 4 locations, and plot twists in secrecy as they carried out their goals. The ending was decided on the spot based on the real improv. Stay tuned for screening information via e-mail.
The filmmakers wish to thank channel 1 productions, roxPR, cafcow productions, and applewood for all their help in the making of this film.
